Welcome to the AndoverHub

Schneider Electric’s Andover, Massachusetts facility is one of the company’s major North American hubs, focused on advancing digital building technologies and energy management solutions. Known for its emphasis on research, engineering, and innovation, the site supports the development of smart building systems, automation platforms, and sustainability initiatives. It also serves as a collaborative workspace where teams work on integrating IoT-enabled solutions that help customers improve efficiency, reduce energy usage, and enhance overall building performance.

SITUATION

  • Consolidated over 400,000 sq. ft of space across 3.5  buildings / locations

  • Modernize a 236,000 sq. ft. building to be 1 of 5 Global R&D Centers

THE SOLUTION

Customers at Schneider Electric’s Andover facility can see live demonstrations of smart building solutions in action, including integrated systems for lighting, HVAC, power, and security. These hands-on showcases highlight how connected technologies and real-time data work together to improve efficiency, reduce energy use, and enhance overall building performance.

RESULTS

Schneider Electric’s Andover facility has reduced energy costs by implementing its own smart building and energy management technologies on-site. The campus uses EcoStruxure-based systems to monitor and optimize energy use in real time, along with integrated controls for HVAC, lighting, and power to eliminate inefficiencies. It also incorporates advanced solutions like microgrid technology—combining solar power, battery storage, and grid management—to use energy more efficiently and lower overall consumption. These innovations allow the facility to continuously track performance, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency across operations.
